FFO #1: Day 1

June 9, 2009
by

Hi All! We made it to Quebec for our first family FFO of the summer. After a long day of flying and driving, we arrived at Le Manoir Richelieu just in time to see the sun set and enjoy a wonderful meal. Tomorrow should be an exciting day!

Highlights of the day:
-Understanding what Uncle Bob meant by there being more room in a beaver than some planes (including our propellor plane today)
-Chris telling my boyfriend of a year and a half that I seem to be the type of girl who could use a little domestic violence
-Sharing our earliest memories at dinner. My personal favorite – Mike getting in trouble for giving Thomas C. a wet willy after he and Christo learned about them in preschool. What a great first memory!

More tomorrow,

Leave it to the Beave! Glad you guys made it to la belle province safely. It was so nice seeing you in Carmel last weekend and spending time with your wonderful friends.

Looking forward to Corn-holing with you at the Family Reunion in August.

    Now go get some poutine…!

When will you guys be in Montreal? And when in Arnprior, since that will affect when we go up to see Mom and Dad.

      Mike,

We will arrive Arnprior on Friday and leave early Sunday. If this weekend doesn’t work for you, we may stop and see you quickly on Sunday on our way through. Meg is anxious to see the boys!

        Hi Jane,
That should be fine… I think. We were planning on going to Arnprior the following weekend but Mom was concerned you might be there then, and that there wouldn’t be enough bedrooms. So we’ll be in Montreal this weekend and we’d be happy to see you all if you have a chance to stop by. Else we’ll stand by the highway and wave to all the cars in hopes of seeing you.

PS The boys have a new love: their babysitter. Tom cried Sunday morning when he realized that she had gone home and he has now named his teddy bear after her. I sent you an email about something they’d said, by the way.
