Notes From Arnprior-

Today was another exciting day. We got up to see Grandpa Coady this morning, and although it was disheartening to see how his condition has deteriorated, it was a subtle reminder to cherish the gift that is today. We also got to enjoy dinner with my Uncle Dru Lafave, and my cousins Joanna and Tara and Joanna’s adorable daughter Gwen. Meg and my mom cooked a fabulous salmon dinner, but of course Nanny’s desserts stole the show.

Highlights of the day-

The first highlight occured early in the day. Chris ventured out to get his hands on the famous Wes’s Chips. He walked the whole way too! Unfortunately he was forty cents short. Consequently he returned empty handed and even worse on an empty stomach. Luckily, he survived.

Also, little Gwen the bundle of energy was captivated as Chris played the piano for us. He played a few Beatles tunes and a few people sang along.

Most of the day was spent reminiscing on memories of the ‘Prior and just enjoying the company of each other. Tomorrow we are off to the States and Damien can claim the accomplishment of spending a week with our family without losing it. Congrats Damien!!

Poor Chris, talk about lunchbag letdown! I hope that he was able to savour some Wes’ chips at some point over the weekend. Safe trip home everybody. Enjoy the US Open Rich! /Laurie
