Scotland Recap – Royal Troon – August 20, 2009

Royal Troon : What a beautiful links course. We started off in sunshine, got rained on quite heavily from holes 5 through 8, then we played in clouds and sunshine the rest of the way. Some gorgeous holes on the course, a lot of interesting history to the club, we realized only after the 9th hole that the course is next door to Prestwick and the members from each club often play home and home events against each other , the challenge being to emerge from lunch not being over served if you know what I mean !! Wind, rain, sun – we had it all. The course played long, but it was great to play a great seaside links course where all the best have played. Enjoy the photos below. Rich

Looks like the “bear” got you all at this course! I especially noted the refreshments after the game (who ever had the scotch is my kinda guy)… were you competing with the lunch time crowd?
